When it comes to fun AZ summertime events, nothing beats watching Phoenix fireworks with family and friends. No one needs an excuse to enjoy cooling down with water games, filling up on BBQ, and watching the sky light up with fireworks every year. Fortunately, Phoenix and surrounding areas have a ton of options for you to check out if you’re looking for 4th of July entertainment. Whether you are looking for a place to bring your kids, listen to live music, drink with friends, or play tons of outdoor games, there is bound to be something for you in these six Phoenix fireworks locations:
Westgate Entertainment District; 6751 N. Sunset Boulevard, Glendale, AZ 85305
This Glendale AZ event will be held on July 4th, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M., with spectacular fireworks show starting at 9:00 P.M. As a bonus, both admission and parking are free! The Westgate Firework Fest will have live music, family entertainment, multiple dining options, and an open-air beer garden. You and your kids can cool off or relax in Fountain Park or the WaterDance Plaza where there will be two music stages, activities, and plenty of food! Feel free to bring your blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the firework show as the night winds down.
Steele Indian School Park; 300 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012
If you’re looking for local Phoenix fireworks, this is the place for you! On July 4th, from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., you can bring family or friends to catch some awesome fireworks display at 9:30 P.M for free! Fabulous Phoenix 4th features are known for having one of the largest fireworks displays in Arizona. This event is not only non-alcoholic but family-oriented for a guaranteed evening of fun. If you’re into music and food, the Fabulous Phoenix 4th will have two stages for local entertainers, and a variety of vendors offering festival-style cuisine and beverages. This event has tons of activities including arts and crafts, a classic car display, and interactive exhibits. Activities are also provided for kids such as rides and inflatable play places, and a water zone in the Kids’ World area.
Goodyear Ballpark; 1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear, AZ 85338
If you’re in the Goodyear AZ area, feel free to stop by this free event being held from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Or at least catch the exciting fireworks show at 9:00 P.M. While admission to this event is free, any rides that your kids want to go on such as the inflatable water slides or bounce houses will cost $10 for an unlimited ride wristband, for $5 for 3 individual ride tickets. Otherwise, you can enjoy the live music by the Groove Merchants, partake in the Uptown Alley Battle Ball Challenge, Nathan’s hot dog eating contest, and other games such as cornhole. Along with some tasty food, you’re bound to have a fun time with family members and friends at the Star Spangled 4th at the Goodyear Ballpark.
Tempe Beach Park; 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281
Another popular place for annual Phoenix fireworks is the Tempe Town Lake Festival at Tempe Beach Park. From 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., you can be sure to find yourself entertained at this gathering. Children of the age 12 and under are admitted for free, and general admission tickets for everyone else are only $5. Tempe Town Lake Festival has an incredible amount of fun things planned for this fourth of July, including live music, family-friendly water fun and games, uniquely delicious food vendors, and fireworks spectacular at 9:15 P.M. You can expect several musical performances, color guard marches, and a flyover during the festival. And for those looking to spend this time drinking and celebrating with friends, the Budweiser Gardens will be open all night!
WestWorld of Scottsdale; 16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
Phoenix fireworks would not be complete without an amazing show from the Scottsdale area. The 4th of July Celebration at WestWorld is just that, an experience open from 3:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. with an impressive display of fireworks at 9:00 P.M. General admission ticket prices are $12, but are discounted to $6 if you are a Scottsdale resident. This event is unique because it is exclusively indoors, which promises to keep you red, white, and cool during the summer evening. There is something for everyone at Scottsdale’s 4th of July Celebration, like the kid zone, BMX show, all-star stunt dogs challenge, bull-riding rodeo, and a petting zoo and pony rides from Carter’s Farm. Adults and children alike can enjoy these activities along with food and drinks in this fully air-conditioned equestrian center.
Anthem Community Park; 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem AZ 85086
This last event is the only event that occurs on July 3rd instead of July 4th, but is still packed full of exciting activities from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. With free admission and parking, there’s no reason not to stop by Anthem’s Independence Day Celebration to catch some breathtaking fireworks at 9:30 P.M. This annual event provides friends and family with appetizing festival food vendors, water slides, rides, inflatables, live music, and dancing. Join thousands of others with your blankets and lawn chairs to watch fireworks at the community park this year.
