As the country’s sixth-largest city and the cultural center of Arizona, the Phoenix metropolitan area always has something new and exciting to do! As the Easter holiday rolls around, enchanting events will be taking place all over the Valley of the Sun. Here’s CENTURY 21 Northwest’s recommendations for where to celebrate with the family this Easter in Phoenix!
Billed as the world’s largest outdoor Easter pageant, the Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant “Jesus the Christ” presents Christ’s life, ministry, and mission through music, dance, and drama. Since 1928, this large-scale Easter production, held at the Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors’ Center, has welcomed and entertained people of all religions, cultures, and ages. Presented for free from March 25th, 2015 to April 4th, 2015, the hour-long performances begin at 8pm and are offered in both English and Spanish.
Well-known as one of the best Easter egg hunts in town, this Easter celebration begins at 9am on Sunday, April 5th with the 10th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza, which includes bounce houses, a petting zoo, arts & crafts, and a 25,000-egg hunt! The celebration also features an innovative champagne brunch priced at $75 for adults and $25 for children ages 5 to 12. Reservations for brunch are required (and include tickets to the Eggstravaganza), so call 480-624-1202 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot today!
Head over to The Wigwam on Saturday, April 4th as families, children, and Easter baskets cover the front lawn for a fun-filled day of family-friendly activities! The day starts at 9am with the Governor’s Egg Roll on the front lawn of the resort, and continues with activities such as an egg hunt, face painting, egg decorating and crafts, an Easter outfit competition, and much more! Families can also join the Easter Bunny himself for breakfast, and if they arrive at 8:30am, they can witness his arrival via helicopter! The event is priced at $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 3 to 12, and children under 3 are complimentary, so bring the whole family out for a day of fun!
Join the Arizona Museum of Natural History on Friday, April 3rd for the return of the ever-popular Dino Egg Hunt! Starting at 5:30pm and ending at 8pm, this event features children’s craft activities and a dinosaur touch cart available, with fun facts about dinosaur eggs! Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 17, and completely free for members. Best of all, the entire museum will be open, so come join in for an evening of “eggs-ceptional” fun!
The Great Arizona Puppet Theater presents: “Peter Rabbit”
Come join the Great Arizona Puppet Theater in downtown Phoenix for a special Easter production of Beatrix Potter’s beloved tale “Peter Rabbit.” Told entirely to music with lively hand puppets, this show will provide laughs, suspense, and fun for all! The show runs from March 18th to April 5th (see website for specific days), and tickets are $7 for children 2 and up, and $10 for adults, so call (602) 262-2050 to make reservations for the whole family today!
